Low Air Table

2002

A low table made of gas-injected polypropylene. There are optional polyurethane wheels and a chrome-plated wire DVD/video rack.

Timeline

Extending the Air family, a low air table which converts to a TV/video trolley was conceived. By moulding fixing points to the underside of the basic table a simple wire structure can be fixed to it to hold a video or DVD player, and wheels plug in to the base to provide mobility. As there aren’t so many good wheels on the market, Eugenio Perazza had the idea to work with a producer of roller blade wheels. Taking advantage of their overmoulding technology we designed a wheel which encapsulates an opaque plastic moulded core in a transparent rubberized polyurethane surface.
